Interior Components
This section describes the names and functions of the interior components.
Front and right view
1. Print cartridge
Contains toner and the photo conductor unit.
When "Replacement of Print Cartridge is now necessary." appears, replace this unit.
2. Friction pad
This ensures only one sheet of paper is fed in at a time. If multi-sheet feeds occur, clean the friction pad
carefully.
3. Registration roller
Feeds in sheets of paper for copying or printing. Be sure to clean this roller if it becomes dirty.
4. Transfer roller
When "Replacement Required: Maintenance Kit" appears, replace this roller.
5. Guide board
Open this to remove jammed paper.
6. Paper feed roller
Feeds in sheets of paper for copying or printing. Be sure to clean this roller if it becomes dirty.
