2.9.6 Replacing the pressure roller
PM cycle: Clean the roller every 200K.
Replace the roller and bearings every
800K.
1. Remove the fusing roller.
2. Remove the right inner cover (4 plated screws).
3. Open the fusing right cover.
4. Remove the front and rear pressure lever fixing
screws from the right side of the unit. Then, pull
down the pressure levers to release the roller
pressure.
5. Pull out the pressure roller. Hold both ends of the
pressure holder when pulling it out.
6. Remove the C-rings from the pressure roller shaft
and remove the shaft.
7. Replace the pressure roller and bearings as a set.
8. Reassemble in the reverse order.
NOTE
Clean the pressure and fusing rollers surface with
a soft dry cloth.
