Magnetic torque limiter
The rotation of the drive shaft is transmitted to the
reverse roller by the magnetic force of the magnet. The
transmission force is adjusted with the position of the
inner magnet.
The inner magnet is integrated with the limit hub. When
the limit hub rotates, the magnetic force of the magnet
varies. Do not turn the limit hub because this will
change the magnetic force.
Paper separation
When a sheet of paper is fed normally, the friction force
of the paper feed roller (larger than the torque force of
the torque limiter) feeds the paper to the grip roller. This
friction force rotates the reverse roller with the moving
paper.
When two or more sheets of paper are fed, when friction
force between the paper is small for example, the
rotation of the paper feed roller is transmitted to the top
sheet, but not the lower sheet. The torque transmitted
from the torque limiter to the reverse roller returns the
lower paper to the tray.
NOTE
When the tray is removed, the pick-up solenoid is
turned ON to prevent the tray from striking the roller.
The pick-up solenoid is turned OFF again when the
tray is set.
