Right shield screen
The shield area of the right shield screen is determined
by magnification data and paper size.
The figure on the right shows the right shield screen stop
position by paper size and magnification.
For 142% magnification during actual operation, the
shield area becomes larger than the 100% position, but
the exposure area corresponding to paper size is
maintained.
NOTE
The table below shows the length of the exposure
area for A4 size paper (210 mm long).
Magnification Shield Position Exposure Area
142% Left shield 24 mm 257 -- 24 = 233 mm
Right shield 257 mm
100% Left shield 55 mm 300 -- 55 = 245 mm
Right shield 300 mm
64% Left shield 43 mm 283 -- 43 = 240 mm
Right shield 283 mm
2.2.6 Anti-condensation mechanism
An anti-condensation heater is attached to the side of
the optical unit. The heater prevents condensation on
the optics and is energized when the main switch is
turned off. A thermofuse in the heater is set at 169°C.
