2.3.1 Main construction
Structural diagram
Construction
Employs a OPC belt (organic photoconductor).
The gap between the OPC belt and OPC cleaning
brush, development rollers, or cleaning roller (PG: Photo-
conductor Gap) are secured by the back-up rollers.
Tilting operation of the tracking rollers corrects OPC belt
offset.
An optical discharge from the back side of the OPC belt
by the quenching lamp.
An elastic rubber roller that prevents damage to the
OPC belt back side by the developer or cleaning carrier.
The tracking rollers apply tension to the OPC belt by
springs.
An independent unit driven by a DC servo motor.
