4.14 ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS
 Unplug the machine power cord before starting the following procedure.
4.14.1 MPU
 The battery on the control board can explode if replaced incorrectly.
 Dispose of the old battery in accordance with the instructions.
1. Rear cover (page 4-6)
2. Remove the EEPROM [A] from the old MPU.

x 7, x all)
5. Install the new MPU.
6. Install the old EEPROM on the new MPU.
7. Replace the EEPROM if the EEPROM on the old MPU is defective.
 Make sure you print out the SMC reports ("SP Mode Data" and "Logging Data") before
you replace the EEPROM.
 Keep EEPROM away from any objects that can cause static electricity. Static electricity
can damage EEPROM data.
