5.4. WRAPPING MACHINE ARM DRIVE CHAIN TENSION ADJUSTMENT
The intervention is required to limit the movement of the arm with braked drive.
The figure shows the intervention points and the description indicates the procedures to use.
1.
Stop the machine in safety conditions.
2.
Apply adhesive tape on the column.
3.
Position the marker, pull the arm (anticlockwise direction) fully home and mark the position on the adhesive
tape.
4.
Push the arm (clockwise direction) fully home and mark the position on the adhesive tape.
The distance between the marks should be 45 mm (±15).
If this is not the case, adjust the chain tension.
5.
Slightly loosen the screws (A).
6.
Act on the screw (B) to adjust the chain tension (C).

Clockwise: value decreases.

Anticlockwise: value increases.
7.
Tighten the screws (A).
8.
Double-check to verify that the operation has been performed correctly.
If this is not the case, repeat the operation.
