NOTE
Do not scratch or deform any part of the sensor, sensor cavity, or sensor nut
threads.
2. Carefully brush the sealing surface clean with a soft bristle brush.
3. Moisten a cotton swab with an appropriate cleaning liquid.
4. Wipe the sealing surface. Repeat several times if necessary with a
clean cotton swab until there is minimal dirt residue picked up by the
cotton swab.
Sensor Installation
1. Carefully place sensor over the post in the sensor cavity.
2. Insure that the sensor is centered on the post. See Figure 5-10 for an
example of improper installation and Figure 5-11 for an example of
proper installation.
NOTE
If the sensor is installed in a high temperature application place the sensor in
the sensor cavity and wait for it to come up to temperature before seating the
sensor on the post.
