TIME LIMIT
General
ATTENTION
A general overhaul is due after a defined period of operation or after a specified
calendar life since initial start of operation (whichever comes first).
The time limit for engine operation will be specified by the TBO.

ATTENTION
After reaching this time limit, the engine has to be shipped to an authorized
ROTAX® overhaul facility.
For an overhaul, the engine must be removed from the aircraft, be cleaned, preserved
and all openings to be closed to prevent entering of contaminants.
Storage period of
the engine
Observe the storage and preservation directives!
NNOOTTEE
The maximum possible storage period of the engine is limited to 24 months.
If this period is exceeded, the engine must be sent to an ROTAX® authorized overhaul fa-
cility for inspection.

Authorized
exceeding
Extension or exceeding of the TBO by 5% or 6 months is allowed whichever comes first.
Shipment The shipment to an authorized ROTAX® overhaul facility must include the following:
1 Engine log book.

Maintenance records of the engine (i.e. all maintenance check lists, and re-
ports of operation, of maintenance, of findings and of oil analyses).
