4.47 Articulating Leg Transfer
Board (73002)
A. Control Handle Adjustment.
(1) Place Leg Transfer Board on table.
(2) Remove cushion
(3) Remove 4 or 6 screws (1, Figure 4-77) and leg
cover (2).
NOTE
To adjust distance handles can travel to activate
gas cylinders complete following steps:
(4) Loosen the jam nut (3) on the threaded rod (4)
next to one of the ball joint connectors (5).
(5) Remove the locknut (6) then disconnect the
ball joint connector (5) from the handle
weldment (7).
(6) Turn the ball joint connector (5) inward or
outward on the threaded rod (4) to change the
travel distance of the handle weldment (7) then
tighten jam nut (3).
(7) Insert the ball joint connector (5) onto the handle
weldment (7) and install locknut (6).
CAUTION
Leg Transfer Board can be positioned
between a horizontal plane down to a
maximum of 55
0
by operating control handles. Do
not
attempt to go
above
the horizontal position.
(8) Check operation.
(9) Install cover (2) and cushion.
