4.10 Cleaning Procedure
1. Start the gutter brooms and temporarily stop them from
spinning.
2. Tilt hopper up and open hopper door. Place safety props in
position.
3. Attach hydrant hose to diffuser to clean diffuser.
4. Thoroughly hose down the brooms, center dirt deflector,
pickup nozzle and hopper.
5. Clean away debris that may have become wound around the
gutter brooms
6. Wash the inside of the pickup nozzle’s suction hoses.
7. Lower hopper and close hopper door.
8. Retract gutter brooms to their travel positions.
9. Turn off the auxiliary and chassis engine.
1. Open engine inspection door to check for debris, and clean.
2. Hose down the unit to completely rinse away all dirt and dust.
3. Lubricate all daily lubrication points.
4. Check the odometer and hour meter and perform any other
needed lubrication.
5. Inspect the sweeper for loose hardware, oil leaks, burned-out
bulbs or fuses, tire wear and inflation.
6. Report any problems to your supervisor.
