Section 6 - Service
86 SCHWARZE HYPERVAC HV-18 revised 11/18
Replacing the Hydraulic Pump Drive Belt
1.
Remove the Hydraulic Pump Guard and the Belt
Inspection Guard
2. Loosen the two lock nuts retaining the Hydraulic
Pump to the Hydraulic Pump Bracket.
3.
Pivot the Hydraulic Pump until there is adequate slack
to remove the Hydraulic Belt.
4. Place the new belt onto the two pulleys and tension
the belt by pivoting the Hydraulic Pump counter-
clockwise.
5. When adequate tension has been reached, tighten
the lock nuts until the Hydraulic Pump is secured to
the Hydraulic Mounting Bracket.
6. Refit the Hydraulic Pump Guard and the Belt
Inspection Guard.
Adjusting the Hydraulic System Pressure
1.
Start unit and check for proper operation.
2. Run unit until hydraulic oil temperature is over 90
degrees Fahrenheit.
3. Raise hopper, shut unit off and deploy safety chocks.
4. Install 5000 psi gauge onto test port on hydraulic
manifold.
5.
Restart unit and check standby pressure. Pressure
should be 300 psi. If pressure is out of range, adjust
lower adjusting screw (closest to case) on hydraulic
pump. In increase, Out decrease.
6. Manually engage AUX flow valve on hydraulic
manifold. Pressure should be around 3500 psi. If
out of adjustment, adjust upper adjustment screw
(farthest from case). In increase, out decrease.
7. Manually engage Aux flow valve on hydraulic
manifold, back out adjustment on pressure relief
valve on the manifold until pressure starts to fall. Set
pressure to 3200 psi.
8. Manually engage Aux flow valve on manifold and set
system pressure to 2750 psi using the upper adjusting
screw on the Hydraulic Pump.
