For technical reasons, the use of snow chains
is only permitted on the following rim and tyre
combinations:

Other dimensions do not allow chains
Remove any central wheel trims before fitting
snow chains.
WARNING
The use of unsuitable or incorrectly fitted
chains could lead to serious accidents and
damage.

Always use appropriate snow chains.
●
Observe the fitting instructions provided by
the snow chain manufacturer.
●
Never exceed the speed limits when driving
with snow chains.
●
Before fitting the chains, check that the
wheel/tyre combination on the table is the
one installed on your vehicle. The combina-
tion can also be found on the technical data-
sheet.
NOTICE
●
Remove the snow chains to drive on roads
without snow. Otherwise they will impair ve-
hicle handling, damage the tyres and wear
out very quickly.
●
Wheel rims may be damaged or scratched
if the chains come into direct contact with
them. SEAT recommends the use of covered
snow chains.
Changing a wheel
Introduction
Only change a wheel yourself if you are famil-
iar with the necessary operations and safety
measures, if you have the necessary tools and if
the vehicle is parked safely.
Preliminary actions
●
Stop the vehicle on a level surface and in a
safe place, as far away from road trac as
possible.
●
Apply the electronic parking brake.
●
Switch on the hazard warning lights.
●
Manual transmission: engage 1st gear.
●
Automatic transmission: switch on the parking
lock P.
●
If towing a trailer, unhitch the trailer from your
vehicle.
●
Lay out the on-board tools ›››page325 and
the wheel to be changed.
●
Follow the legal provisions of each country
(reflective vest, warning triangles, light beacon,
etc.).
●
Get all occupants out of the vehicle and
keep them out of the danger zone (e.g. behind
the guard rail).
WARNING
●
Always observe the above steps and pro-
tect yourself and other road users.
●
If you change the wheel on a slope, block
the wheel on the opposite side of the car with
a stone or similar to prevent the vehicle from
moving.
