3.3 Authorised Users
Installation and maintenance of the encoders must be performed by
trained and qualified staff with knowledge of electronics, precision
engineering and controller programming. The appropriate standards
of technical safety requirements must be met.
3.4 Safety Guidelines and Personal Protection
The safety guidelines must be observed by all persons charged with
installation, operation or maintenance of the devices:
The system and safety documentation must always be available
and observed.
During installation and maintenance, non-qualified staff must not
be near the system.
The system must be installed in accordance with applicable safety
requirements and instructions.
The installation must meet the accident prevention regulations of
the professional/trade associations in the country/countries con-
cerned.
Non-compliance with the relevant safety and accident prevention
regulations can lead to bodily harm or system damage.
The current and voltage sources in the encoders must comply
with applicable technical guidelines.
