Preparation
Note
The configuration data of the device are deleted when the battery is replaced. Note the
current BIOS setup settings. You can conveniently back up the BIOS setup settings with the
SIMATIC IPC BIOS Manager.
Replacing the battery
The location of the backup battery on the motherboard and the procedure for replacing it is
described in the "Technical manual of the motherboard" on the "Documentation and Drivers"
DVD that ships with the product.
Reconfiguring the BIOS setup
When a battery is replaced, the configuration data of the device is deleted and must be
reconfigured in the BIOS setup.
7.1.6 Removing the power supply
Requirement
● The device is disconnected from the power network.
● The device is opened.
● All connection cables are unplugged
● T10 screwdriver
Procedure
1. Disconnect the power supply cables of the
drives and the motherboard.
2. Remove the cable ties securing the power
cables in the housing.
3. Remove the retaining screws

4. Pull out the power supply of the housing
from the back.
