Removing the motherboard
Requirement
The device is opened.
Procedure
1.
Remove the modules from the slots.
2.
Remove the bus board.
3.
Disconnect all the cables from the
motherboard, noting down their positions
while doing so.
4.
Remove the screws
on the CPU heat
sink.
5.
Open the lever of the processor bay and
remove the processor (see section
"Replacing the processor").
6.
Remove the three screws
and six
hexagon bolts
on the motherboard.
7.
Unscrew the hexagon bolts
from the
interfaces on the rear of the device.
Depending on the device version, you
have to unscrew two or four hexagon
bolts. In the figure on the side you can
see an example of the COM interface
with two hexagon bolts that have to be
removed.
The motherboard is supplied as spare part without processor, processor heat sink, memory
modules and bus board.
Principle
To install the new motherboard, carry out the same steps in the reverse order.
