Fixing screws
You can use the following type of screw to mount the profile rails:
For ... Type of screw Description
Cylindrical head screw M6 to
ISO 1207/ISO 1580
(DIN 84/DIN 85)
Lateral fixing screws
M6 hexagonal head screw to
ISO 4017 (DIN 4017)
additional fixing screws
(only 2-m profile rail)
Cylindrical head screw M6 to
ISO 1207/ISO 1580
(DIN 84/DIN 85)
Choose a suitable screw
length for your assembly.
You also need size 6.4
washers to ISO 7092
(DIN 433)
Mounting the profile rail
1. When you mount the profile rails, allow sufficient space for mounting modules
and heat elimination (at least 40 mm above and below the modules. See the
figure below).
2. Mark up the mounting holes on the mounting surface. Drill the holes to a
diameter of 6.5
+0,2
mm.
3. Screw on the profile rail (M6 screws).
Note
Take care to create a low-impedance connection between the profile rail and a
mounting surface which is a grounded metal plate or equipment mounting plate. In
the case of varnished or anodized metals, for instance, use a suitable contacting
agent or contact washers.
