6.8.2 Assigning a Safety Integrated password
Commissioning data is always secured in the SINUMERIK ONE Commissioning Tool using
different access levels. You protect the safety-related drive parameterization additionally with
the Safety Integrated password. This password is stored in the drive data so that it can be
changed only by authorized persons who know the password.
Note
The SINAMICS Safety Integrated password must be used for SINUMERIK Safety Integrated
A SINUMERIK ONE Commissioning Tool screen form supports assigning a Safety Integrated
password.
Alternatively, assign the password as follows via the expert list as in SINAMICS Safety
Integrated:
● p0010 = 95 Commissioning mode
● p9761 = enter "Old safety password". Default setting for p9761 = 0.
● p9762 = enter "new password".
● p9763 = confirm "new password"
● p0977 = 1; "Copy from RAM to ROM"
The new and confirmed Safety Integrated password is valid immediately.
Procedure
To assign the Safety Integrated password for all axes/drives, proceed as follows:
1. In the SINUMERIK ONE Commissioning Tool switch to "MENU SELECT > Commissioning
> Menu forward key > Safety".
2. Press softkey "SI password".
3. Select the check box for the all "axes/drives".
4. Assign a password and confirm by clicking on "OK".
