Purpose of the Manual
This manual describes the hardware of the SIPROTEC 5 device family and provides general information on the
product structure, the modules and technical data.
Target Audience
Protection system engineers, commissioning engineers, persons entrusted with the setting, testing and main-
tenance of automation, selective protection and control equipment, and operational crew in electrical installa-
tions and power plants.
