Now you are ready to measure the wall thickness. Place the transducer assembly on the prepared
surface, within the applied couplant. Use moderate downward pressure to ensure sonic coupling and
a square contact between the transducer face and the pipe wall. The screen automatically shows the
pipe wall thickness numerically and in graphic form (similar to the example shown below). If you want
to re-check your reading, maintain pressure and then press the key to reset the display.
If you want to take subsequent measurements at another location, lift off the transducer from the pipe
wall for about one second to clear the display.
Do not turn off the meter. Press the key to return to the [Thickness Gauge] menu.
Press twice to return to [Meter Type].
Press to access the [Meter Type] option list.
When you finish using the Thickness Gauge:
Select a flowmeter by pressing to move the cursor to the desired type, for example: [>Dual Chan-
nel Flow].
