syngo InSpace 4D provides two different ways of measuring dis-
tances in an image:

❏ Superimposing a two-dimensional grid.
❏ Individual measurements
2D measurements are always performed on the same plane as
the volume view. The orientation of the object you are measur-
ing has to be parallel to the viewing plane of the screen.

Use of unsuitable measurement technique!

Inaccurate measurement possible.

✧ Use the grid method only for measurements in which the
viewing angle of the object does not matter (such as meas-
uring the diameter of a cylinder) or if the object can be ver-
ifiably oriented such that the desired measurement is par-
allel to the screen.
