<1> Before starting the test, take out the optical fiber from the fusion splicer.
<2> Check visually if lens, mirror surface are free of foreign material.
<3> In the "Maintenance" menu, move the cursor to "dust check" and press
button to enter "X dust check" operation window.
<4> Press button.The fusion splicer completes soon "X image check Ok". If
there are any dust points, the position is shown on the screen.
<5> Upon completion of X image dust check, press button. The screen
switches to Y image. Continue to press button. The fusion splicer
completes soon "Y image check Ok". If there any any dust points, the position is
