4.7.3 Heating operation
A.Manual heating control
<1> After opening respectively the heater clamp (left press plate) and the
transparent window cover, hold the left end of the optical fiber attached with
heat shrink sleeve with the left hand. Straighten gently the other end of the
optical fiber with the right hand. The optical fiber is moved from the V-groove to
the heater groove(as shown in the figure below).
Move the fiber so that the splicing point is
at the center of the heat shrink sleeve.
