5-1-9. VIF-82 Board
Main-line video signals
The image capture data transmitted from the camera is converted to 8b10b data, and is then input to the VIF-82 board through the
connector (CN403).
The VIF-82 board performs video format conversion for the three SDI output signals.
Four DDR3 SDRAM ICs (IC1901, IC1902, IC1903, and IC1904) are connected to IC1401. IC1401 is equipped with the P-to-i
conversion function and the 2-3 pull-down function in addition to the timing adjustment function, enabling conversion of data from
the camera to 3G-SDI or HD-SDI data.
The VIF-82 board contains a connector (J1702) to be connected to the output-only BNC IF connector and input/output BNC
connectors (J1703, J1704) (SDI I/O), enabling output of up to 3-channel SDI video signals.
Return video signals
Single-channel return video signals can be input from the SDI RET connector (J1701) to be connected to the BNC IF connector on
the VIF-82 board.
The frame synchronization function of IC1401 can handle asynchronous return signals.
One return signal is selected, and is then converted to 1.5G HD data by P-to-i conversion (for 3G-SDI data). Then the converted
signal is converted to 8b10b data, and then the 8b10b data is sent to the camera as a serial digital video signal.
Audio signals
The Front Incom TALK signal sent from the FP-322 board through the connector (CN401) is converted to a digital signal in IC2203,
and then the digital signal is input to IC1101.
The Front Incom RCV/PGM signal to be output to the FP-322 board is converted to an analog signal in IC2203, and then the analog
signal is sent to the connector (CN401).
IC1101 on the VIF-82 board switches signal paths as follows:
• Outputs the Incom signal that is embedded and sent from the camera to the Front Incom connector (CN401).
• Outputs the Incom signal that is embedded and sent from the CCU to the Front Incom connector (CN401).
At this time, the Front Incom input signal, System Incom input signal, and PGM signal can be mixed.
• Embeds the Front Incom input signal into a return signal and sends it to the camera.
HD TRUNK signal
The SDI I/O 1 connector (J1703) can be used as an HD TRUNK output connector.
In this case, only the Link-A data is used as image capture data from the camera. The HD TRUNK signal from the camera is included
in the Link-B data.
HD PROMPTER signal
The SDI I/O 2 connector (J1704) can be used as an HD PROMPTER input connector.
In this case, the Link-A signal is returned and the HD PROMPTER signal is included in the Link-B data and is sent to the camera.
LAN signal
The LAN signal can be input to and output from the RJ45 connector on the CN-4132 board. The input LAN signal is transferred from
the connector (CN601) to IC601 in which the signal format is converted. Then the converted signal is sent to the CPU board (AT-195
board). The control signals from the CPU board (AT-195 board) are input to IC601, and are then output from the RJ45 connector on
the CN-4132 board through the connector (CN601).
