about load pick up
Recognising danger is half the battle!
• Before every load pick up, make sure that
theloadtobepickedupdoesnotexceed
the load capacity of the truck (refer to the
load capacity diagram) or the maximum
permissible dimensions as specified on the
datasheet. This also includes, of course,
the accumulated weight of the picked goods
• Loads that are to be transp
orted and stored
must be packed securely
• The centre of gravity of the load must not
change during acceleration, braking or
during transport
• No parts must be allowed to fall
• If loads cannot be trans
ported with the
necessary level of safe
ty, an appropriate
container or means of se
curing the load
must be employed to ensu
re safety
• Loads must always be transported in
suitable containers or secure packaging
• Loads comprising loose packages may not
be stacked higher than the top edge of the
cab rail
• If very high loads th
at block the view of the
roadway have to be tr
ansported, appropri-
ate safety measure
s must be put in place;
if necessary, a gui
de and traffic supervisor
must be used
• Hanging or swinging loads must not be
attached to and transported on the lifting
accessories
