10.6.1 Long-term storage or shipping
Note
Struers recommends that all original packaging and fittings are kept for future use.
• Clean the machine and all accessories thoroughly.
• Disconnect the unit from the electrical power supply.
• Disconnect the water inlet and the water outlet.
• Disconnect the cooling sytem, if installed. See the instructions for the specific unit.
• Place the machine and accessories in their original packaging.
• Secure the boxes on a pallet with straps.
At the new location
At the new location, make sure that the facilities required are in place.
10.7 Unpacking
Carefully open and remove the sides and the top of the packing crate.
Remove the transport brackets that secure the machine to the pallet.
10.8 Lifting
CRUSHING HAZARD
Take care of your fingers when handling the machine.
Wear safety shoes when handling heavy machinery.

Lifting the machine with a fork lift
• Remove the lower front cover plate and make sure that the crossbar supplied with the
machine is secured in position before lifting the machine.
• Place the forks so that the center of gravity is placed between the forks.
10.9 Power supply
ELECTRICAL HAZARD
Switch off the electrical power supply before installing electrical equipment.
Make sure that the actual electrical power supply voltage corresponds to the
voltage stated on the type plate of the machine.
Incorrect voltage can damage the electrical circuit.
