 Install new gasket
3 and cam chain tension adjuster to the
cylinder block and tighten its mounting bolts to the specified
torque.
" Cam chain tension adjuster bolt:
10 N•m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
 Install new O-ring

 Install the spring and pin
5.
 Tighten the spring holder bolt
6 to the specified torque.
" Cam chain tension adjuster spring holder bolt:
8 N•m (0.8 kgf-m, 6.0 lb-ft)
 Adjust the valve clearance. (!2-5)
 Tighten the valve timing inspection plug
7 and generator
cover cap
8 to the specified torque.
" Valve timing inspection plug:
23 N•m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)
Generator cover cap: 15 N•m (1.5 kgf-m, 11.0 lb-ft)
STARTER MOTOR
 Apply SUZUKI SUPER GREASE to new O-ring.
# 99000-25030: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE  A (USA)
99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE  A (Others)
 Install the starter motor and tighten the starter mortor mount-
ing bolts to the specified torque.
" Starter motor mounting bolt: 10 N•m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
SPARK PLUG
 Tighten the spark plug to the specified torque. (!2-8)
" Spark plug: 18 N•m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.0 lb-ft)
& 09930-10121: Spark plug wrench set
 Mount the engine. (!3-8)
