Logical Operators
Logical operators, also known as Boolean operators, make com-
parisons of a set of true/false values and return a true or false result.
This table shows the result for each logical operator given the
described true/false values. True is 1 and false is 0.

Operation
When the result is
the opposite of
the operand.
When both values
are true, the result
is true. Otherwise,
the result is false

are false, the

are true or both
values are false,
the result is true.
The result is true
unless the first
value is true and
the second is
false.
