6.9 Emergency Stop
If the application software has generated an error message that cannot be
recovered, proceed as follows:
1 Press the power on/off switch of Freedom EVO to shut down.
2 Save the log file in order to keep the information, which may be important for
the Tecan FSE.
3 Quit the application software.
4 Analyze the error that has led to the crash:
Is/was everything correctly positioned on the worktable?
Is the programming of the method correct?
Was a carrier position taught incorrectly?
Note: Contact the Tecan FSE if service or repair tasks are required.
WARNING
Danger of contamination
Depending on the applications, parts of the unit may have been in contact with bio
hazardous, poisonous or even radioactive materials.
Make sure to treat these materials according to the applicable safety standards
and regulations.
6.10 Defining Scripts
Refer to the “Freedom EVOware Software Manual” for information about script/
process definition.
Note: Tecan recommends you to define scripts for basic operation, e.g., drop
plate, pick-up plate, present plate.
