9.1 Shutdown
9.1.1 Taking Out-of-Service Procedure
Taking Out of
Service
To take the instrument out of service for storage or shipping, i.e. if you intend to
shut down the instrument for a longer period of time, proceed as follows:
WARNING
Chemical, biological and radioactive hazards can be associated with the
substances used or the samples processed with the Te-Stack.
Thoroughly decontaminate all relevant parts.
When storing the Te-Stack, fill in an “Instrument Decontamination” form and
keep it within the package.
1 Save data, exit application software, and instrument software.
2 Switch the Freedom EVO instrument off. Wait until the green light is dark.
3 Unplug the CAN port cable(s) between Te-Stack and Freedom EVO.
4 Remove and clean all stacker columns. Carry out the appropriate de-
contamination procedure.
5 Continue with chapter 9.1.2 “Te-MO Version”, 9-2 or chapter
9.1.3 “Freedom EVO Version”, 9-2.
ATTENTION
Note the way of connection in the “Service and Maintenance Logbook”.
