to3,055rpm)position.Donotengagethecuttingdecks.UsetheInfoCenter
tocheckthattheenginespeediscorrect.
10.VerifythepumpowatNoLoadasfollows:
Recordthetesterpressureandowreadingsatnoload.Unrestrictedpump
outputshouldbeapproximately51.2L/minute(13.6gallons/minute).
11.VerifythepumpowUnderLoadasfollows:
CAUTION
Donotclosethetestervalvefullywhenperformingthistest.Inthis
test,thehydraulictesterispositionedbeforethemanifoldrelief
valve.
Pumpdamagecanoccuriftheuidowisfullyrestrictedbyfully
closingthetesterowcontrolvalve.
A.Monitorthetesterpressuregaugecarefullywhileyouslowlyclosethe
owcontrolvalveuntilyouget10,340kPa(1,500psi).
B.Recordthetesterpressureandowreadingsunderload.
12.Presstheenginespeedswitchtolowspeed(1,175to1,225rpm)position
andshutofftheengine.
13.Theunderloadtestowreading(step11B)shouldnotdropmorethan15%
whencomparedtothenoloadtestowreading(step10A).Adifferencein
owofmorethan15%,ortheinabilitytoachievespeciedpressuremay
indicate:
A.Arestrictioninthepumpinletline.
B.Thegearpumpbeingtestediswornandshouldberepairedorreplaced;
refertoServicingtheGearPump(page4–107).
14.Releasepressurefromthehydraulicsystem;refertoReleasingPressure
fromtheHydraulicSystem(page4–6).
15.Disconnectthetesterfromthemachineandconnectthehydraulichoseto
thegearpumptting.
16.Starttheengine,checkforhydraulic-uidleaks,repairanyleaksasrequired,
andllthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulicuid
beforereturningthemachinetoservice.
17.Lowerandsecuretheoperatorseat.
