Pumpdamagecanoccuriftheuidowisfullyrestrictedbyfully
closingthetesterowcontrolvalve.
A.Monitorthetesterpressuregaugecarefullywhileyouslowlyclosethe
owcontrolvalveuntilyouget5,500kPa(800psi).
B.Recordthetesterpressureandowreadingsunderload.
12.Presstheenginespeedtolowspeed(1,175to1,225rpm)positionand
shutofftheengine.
13.Theunderloadtestowreading(step11B)shouldnotdropmorethan15%
whencomparedtothenoloadtestowreading(step10A).Adifferencein
owofmorethan15%,ortheinabilitytoachievespeciedpressuremay
indicate:
A.Arestrictioninthepumpinletline.
B.Thegearpump(P3)iswornandshouldberepairedorreplaced;referto
ServicingtheGearPump(page4–107)
14.Afteryoucompletethetesting,shutofftheengine,andthenreleasepressure
fromthehydraulicsystem;refertoReleasingPressurefromtheHydraulic
System(page4–6).
15.Disconnectthetester,andconnecttheremovedhydraulictube.
16.Starttheengine,checkforhydraulic-uidleaks,repairanyleaksasrequired,
andllthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulicuid
beforereturningthemachinetoservice.
17.Lowerandsecuretheoperatorseat.
