11.Aftertheliftcylindermovesnormally,proceedtostep12.
12.Turnthesteeringwheelinbothdirectionssothatthesteeringcylindersmove
inandoutseveraltimes.
13.Operatethetractionpedalintheforwardandreversedirections.Thedrive
wheelsshouldrotateintheproperdirection.Ifthewheelsrotateinthe
wrongdirection,shutofftheengine,inspectthehydrauliclineplacementat
thetractionpumpandwheelmotors.Correctthehydrauliclineinstallation
beforeyouproceed.
14.EnsurethatthetractionpedalreturnstotheNEUTRALpositionwhenreleased
fromtheforwardorreversedirectionandadjustifnecessary.
15.Checktheoperationofthetractioninterlockswitches;refertoCheckingthe
OperationoftheInterlockSwitches(page5–40).
16.Shutofftheengineandlowerthemachinetotheground.
17.Ifthetractionpumpwasreplacedorrebuilt,operatethetractioncircuitso
thatallthewheelsrotateslowlyfor10minutes.
18.Operatethemachinebygraduallyincreasingitsworkloadtofullovera10
minuteperiod.
19.Stopthemachine.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulictankand
addcorrectquantityofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
20.Checkthehydrauliccomponentsforleaksandtightenanylooseconnections.
