9. OFFRAMP GATEWAY
Offramp Gateway Overview
This equipment can be used as a Hub Station to forward E-mails from your client computer or Internet Fax
machine to any facsimile the public switched telephone network.
For example, document can be sent to this equipment out of the country or city through the Internet, then
the document is sent from this equipment to the designated Fax number through the local public telephone
line.
- To use this function for e-STUDIO350/450/200L/230/230L/280, you need to install the following options.
e-STUDIO350/450:
‘Printer kit (GM-1010) and Scanner upgrade kit (GM-3010)’ or ‘Printer/Scanner kit (GM-2010)’
e-STUDIO230/230L/280:
‘Printer kit (GM-1020) and Scanner upgrade kit (GM-3020)’ or ‘Printer/Scanner kit (GM-2020)’
e-STUDIO200L:
‘Printer kit (GM-1030) and Scanner upgrade kit (GM-3030)’ or ‘Printer/Scanner kit (GM-2030)’

3. The mail server transfer the E-mail to
the machine in the SMTP transmission.
NOTE: The mail server should be
configured to retrieve the E-mail
with the forwarding address of
“host1.toshiba.com”.
1. The E-mail is sent to
“FAX=xxxxxxx@host1.toshiba.com”
from the Internet Fax machine or
client computer.
2. The mail server (toshiba.com) retrieves the
E-mail.
NOTE: The mail server should be configured to
retrieve the E-mail with the forwarding
address of “host1.toshiba.com”.
4. The E-mail is converted to a facsimile and sent to the G3 Fax through the
public switched telephone network.
5. If the username section of the E-mail address designates the fax number and
the subaddress, the facsimile is sent to the subaddress destination.
