C. MANEUVERING CONTROLS
Maneuvering controls on the MZ include the following:
1. Steering Wheel
The hydraulic steering system is powered by an electric hydraulic pump.
(a) To turn left, rotate the steering wheel counterclockwise.
(b) To turn right, rotate the steering wheel clockwise.
2. Service Brakes
The brake system uses DOT 3 brake fluid in a split system to deliver hydraulic power to both
the front dry disc brakes and the rear wet disc brakes.
(a) To decrease speed or stop the vehicle, depress the service brake pedal.
(b) To move the vehicle, release the service brake pedal.
3. Accelerator / Foot Throttle
The foot throttle is a specialized electromechanical accelerator that sends power increase/
decrease signals to the inverter control board.
(a) To increase speed, depress foot throttle.
(b) To decrease speed, release foot throttle.
4. Turn Signal (Optional)
The turn signal control is located on the steering column.
(a) To indicate a right-hand turn, push the signal control lever up.
(b) To indicate a left-hand turn, push the signal control lever down.
