F. STARTING PROCEDURE
WARNING: OBSERVE ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS DISCUSSED IN
THE SAFETY SECTION OF THIS MANUAL.
Perform the following procedure to start the vehicle while observing the multifunction display. The
vehicle will not respond to the accelerator until the start procedure is successfully completed.
1. Sitting in drivers seat, set direction control to NEUTRAL.
2. Engage foot brake.
3. Turn the power switch ON.
NOTE: If the power switch is turned on while the tractor is in FORWARD
or REVERSE, the tractor will give a fault code and will not move. If this
happens turn the power off, place the direction control to NEUTRAL and
then turn the power back on.
WARNING: ALWAYS USE PARK BRAKE WHEN LEAVING VEHICLE.
DRIVE TRAIN HAS NO “PARK” POSITION, AND MUST RELY ON
PARK BRAKE BEING ENGAGED BY OPERATOR TO PREVENT
VEHICLE FROM ROLLING.
4. Release the park brake. The unit may be driven normally.
NOTE: If the operator leaves the seat for more than one second or the
power is turned off, the starting procedure must be repeated.
G. OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS
1. Parking Brake
If the parking brake is a applied with the power on, the power to the motor is disabled. Once
the parking brake is released, normal operation can be resumed and the start-up procedure
does not have to be repeated.
2. Power Steering Pump
When the tractor is placed in forward or reverse, the power steering pump will turn on. If the
tractor is placed in neutral with the power switch on and the tractor stopped, the power
steering pump will shut off after 4 seconds to conserve battery power. The pump will
automatically turn on to power the steering system if the tractor starts to roll.
