D. STEERING
PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTION
(a) Lack of lubrication on axle. (a) Lubricate.
(b) Low fluid in power steering
fluid reservoir.
(b) Check for leaks. Replace any
damaged parts. Add fluid as
needed.
(c) Damaged or faulty steering
cylinder.
(c) Replace if necessary.
1. Steering is difficult.
(e) Damaged CharLynn valve. (e) Replace.
(a) Loose/worn studs or lug nuts. (a) Tighten or replace. Lug nuts
should be tightened to
125 ft-lb on the front wheel,
and 90 ft-lb on the rear.
2. Front wheel appears to
wobble.
(b) Worn or damaged bearings
and/or hubs.
(b) Repair or replace.
PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTION
(a) Blown fuse. (a) Replace fuse.
(b) Loose wiring or connections. (b) Inspect and repair.
(c) Faulty wiper control switch. (c) Replace switch.
1. Wiper motor works
intermittently or not at all.
(d) Damaged or faulty motor. (d) Replace as needed.
