Amaximumofsix2ChannelMultiCellRepeaterscanbeusedwiththeKirk400WirelessServerSoloBase.Repeaters
requireapowerconnectiononly;theycommunicatewiththeSoloBasevia lowpowerradiosignalsanddonotrequirea
lineconnection.TomaintainDECTcoverageduringamainsfailureallRepeatersmustbeconnectedtoabatterybacked
12VDCPSU.SeeRepeaterDeploymentRulesonthefollowingpage.
REPEATER POSITIONING
BeforeinstallingpowercablestoRepeaterpositionsitisimportantthattheoptimumpositionforcoverageisestablished.
RegistertheRepeaterontotheSoloBase(seeKirkProgrammingKitbelow)thenwiththeRepeaterpoweredfromabattery
walkawayinthedirectionthatcoveristobeextended.Whenthe redLEDontheRepeaterstartstoflashitisoutofrange
andmustbemovedbacktowardstheSoloBasebyaminimumof5metresbeforeselectingitsfinallocation.
