Amaximumofthree2ChannelMultiCellRepeaterscanbeconnectedtotheKirk400MultiCellWirelessServerplusthree
perIP12ChannelBaseStation(total12persite).Repeatersrequireapowerconnectiononly;theycommunicatewiththe
Server/BaseStationvialowpowerradiosignalsanddonotrequirealineconnection.TomaintainDECTcoverageduringa
mainsfailureallRepeatersmustbeconnectedtoabatterybacked12VDCPSU.SeeRepeaterDeploymentRulesonthe
followingpage.
REPEATER POSITIONING
BeforeinstallingpowercablestoRepeaterpositionsitisimportantthattheoptimumpositionforcoverageisestablished.
RegistertheRepeaterontotheWirelessServer/IPBase(seeKirkProgrammingKitbelow)thenwiththeRepeaterpowered
fromabatterywalkawayinthedirectionthatcoveristobeextended.WhentheredLEDontheRepeaterstartstoflashit
isoutofrangeandmustbemovedbacktowardstheWirelessServer/IPBasebyaminimumof5metresbeforeselectingits
finallocation.

AKirkProgrammingKit(P/No.ZCS729)isrequiredtoprogramRepeaters,thekitconsistsofadoubleadapterandcomms
leadthelatestServiceToolPCsoftwareanduserguidecanbedownloadedfreeofchargefrom;
