3.2.3.2 Fault diagnosis and on - board maintenance
Visual inspection
Check for obvious damage, such as electrolyte leakage. In case of damage, replace or repair the battery.
(1) Check whether the DC/DC fuse is blown out.
(2) Check the line for damage.
(3) Connect the voltmeter and ammeter.
Voltmeter
The voltmeter is connected between the positive terminal B of the battery and the ground.
Ammeter
The ammeter is connected between the battery terminal B and the battery (+) terminal.
Caution:
●
The fully charged battery is used.
(4) Measure the current and voltage.
On - board maintenance
1. Battery
Jumper start in case of emergency
Auxiliary and discharge batteries shall be handled with care when bridging conductors.
Follow these steps, or sparks may occur.
Charging equipment
Caution:
●
When bridging, ensure that the voltage of the charging equipment used is 12V and the negative pole is grounded. Do
not use 24V charging equipment. Doing so could cause serious damage to electric system or components.

Battery undervoltage
protection
1. Vehicle power failure
2. Issue a protection mes-
sage
1. The battery has run down
2. Long time standby
3. Abnormal collection of
battery protection board
1. Insert the charger to
charge, and the fault is
removed
2. Repair and charge by the
after - sales outlet
Battery discharge
overcurrent protec-
tion
1. Vehicle power failure
2. Issue a protection mes-
sage
1. Motor overload
2. Wire harness short circuit
3. Short circuit in other com-
ponents
4. Abnormal collection of
battery protection board
1.
Disconnect the battery from
the vehicle and then re -
insert it
2. Check the vehicle wiring
harness and other parts
for short circuit
3. Overhaul by the after -
sales outlet
Discharge overheat
protection
1. Vehicle power failure
2. Issue a protection mes-
sage
1. Too high ambient tem-
perature and poor ventila-
tion
2. Improper use of battery
accelerates aging and in-
creases internal resistance
3. Abnormal collection of
battery protection board
1. Disconnect the battery and
place it in a cool and ven-
tilated place for a period of
time
2. Overhaul by the after -
sales outlet
Discharge under -
temperature protec-
tion
1. Vehicle power failure
2. Issue a protection mes-
sage
1.
The ambient temperature is
lower than - 20°C
2. Abnormal collection of
battery protection board
1. Use at the ambient tem-
perature allowed by the
battery
2. Battery testing by the after
- sales outlet
