7.3.5 Disassembly and installation of disc brake of front brake
7.3.5.1 Service tools

Hexagonal socket 6mm
7.3.5.2 Disassembly and installation
Note: For the brake pad replacement, the caliper and
brake line may not be decomposed.
●
Remove the bolt - arrow -.
●
Remove the brake caliper - 1 -.
Note:
Do not grip the brake handle when the caliper is away
from the disc brake.
Disassembly
●
Disassembly the brake guide pin bolt - 1 -.
●
Disassembly the dust cover - 2 -.
●
Disassembly the brake pad reed - 3 -.
●
Disassembly the brake pad - 4 -.
Note: If any one of the brake pads has exceeded the wear
limit - arrow - , replace the whole set of brake pads.
Wear limit: 1.5mm, or wear to the bottom of groove.
Large out - of - roundness: 0.20
Disc brake thickness: 3.5mm
Minimum thickness limit: 3.0mm
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order of disassembly.
Caution:
General disc brakes are rarely decomposed, so please do
not:

Break up parts unless it is really needed.
●
Use solvent on brake internal parts.
●
Clean with contaminated brake fluid.
●
Use brake solvents containing other substances.
●
Keep the brake fluid in contact with the eyes to avoid eye injury.
●
Disassembly any hydraulic system joints and line. Otherwise, the whole brake system must be decomposed, leaked,
cleaned and loaded with appropriate brake fluid, and the air be vented after the assembly.
●
Use solvent on brake internal parts.
