3.2.14.4 Throttle fault maintenance determination method
Function definition: achieve speed control through the handle rotation output of about 0.8V ~ 4.2V continuous linear
change voltage signal.
Common fault: throttle failure (no response when turning the throttle)
3.2.14.5 Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting steps
(1) Input signal check:
performance check: test the input signal voltage
of the throttle using the DC gear of the multimeter,
which shall be 5±0.5V.
No input sig-
nal
1. Terminal check
2. Wire check
3. Hall device check
With signal input
Judge throttle OK
(2) Output voltage check:
Performance check: test the output voltage of
the throttle using the DC gear of the multimeter,
which shall be 0.85±0.05V at the low end and
4.2±0.1V at the high end.
No input sig-
nal
1. Terminal check
2. Wire check
3. Hall device check
With signal input
Judge throttle OK
(3) Input signal check
Connector appearance: no breakage, oxidation,
rust or fracture of the internal terminal.
No
Judge terminal OK
Yes
Replace the throttle
(4) Wire check:
Wire appearance: no fracture or open circuit, no
damage to the insulated leather.
No
Judge wire OK
Yes
Replace the throttle
(5) Hall check:
Check Hall performance using the multimeter or a
special inspection instrument
Performance
OK
Judge Hall
