4.9 Changing the User’s Password
Change the currently logged in user’s password as follows:
1. Select the Password Icon.
2. Enter the current password.
3. Enter the new password.
4. Confirm the new password.
5. Select Submit. The password will be changed.
Unlike the Users tab found within the Administrative functions, it cannot change other account passwords and their
respective preferences.
4.10 Installing Software Updates
YSI periodically develops software updates to enhance and/or improve the capabilities and functions of the Multi-
Channel Online Monitor. These updates are usually delivered electronically to the user for installation. After
receiving the software update, it can be installed as follows.
Note: Updating automatically creates a backup of the important configuration files before it installs, but the user
should make periodic backups to protect their data and settings in case of error.
1. Download the update onto a USB drive.
Software updates cannot be performed while the Multi-Channel Online Monitor is
actively sampling!
