The average cycle time is approximately 8 minutes. NOTE: Continuous sampling can be
achieved by entering a value of 0 sample frequency. Thus vessel sampling will commence
immediately after the previous sampling cycle.
c. The
Prime Volume is the amount of sample that is used to initially prime the vessel line between the vessel
and Multi-Channel Online Monitor manifold.
4.6.2 Priming a Vessel Line
The user may prime the vessel line for one or more vessels following the procedure shown below.
1. Select Home tab.
2. Input the Prime Volume which will be used to prime each vessel line.
3. Highlight the Vessel Tiles which correspond to the vessels to be primed.
4. Select Prime.
5. The vessel tile color will change to green. The green color signals that the priming cycle has been
successfully activated.
6. After the Prime Volume has been delivered through the vessel line the Monitor will set the active vessel
idle.
4.6.3 Prepare the 2900 Series Analyzer for Monitoring
Before starting the monitor system, the 2900 Series Analyzer should be calibrated, and then must
be placed in the Run screen.
1. From the YSI 2900 Series Analyzer Touchscreen, select Service.
2. Select the Modules tab.
3. Select the [Calibrate] button for the module(s) you will be using and wait for the analyzer to finish calibration.
