5.4 System Shutdown
YSI recommends shutting down the Multi-Channel Online Monitor System if it will not be used for 30 days or more. Use the
following procedure for shutting down the instrument.
1. Shut down the System by performing the steps outlined in Section 4.12 Shutting Down, Logging Out or
Restarting.
2. Unclamp the pump head to release tension on pump tubing.
3. Disconnect all tubing connections.
4. Discard the used tubing per the laboratory guidelines for chemical and biohazardous waste disposal.
5. Remove the Monitor Sample Cup and perform cleaning procedure outlined in Section 5.3.2.2 Monitor Sample
Cup. Allow the Monitor Cup to air dry before storing.
6. Unplug the Multi-Channel Online Monitor System.
7. Store the Multi-Channel Online Monitor System and other associated components in a clean, dry place.
