The monitor cup should be disinfected and cleaned before using a new tubing set.
c. Leaking is most often due to loose connections. If leaking is present at a connection, try to tighten the
connector(s). Also, ensure that the tubing fits tightly on the connector fitting. If the tubing will not seat
tightly on the connector, the tubing should be replaced. Follow the tubing replacement procedure
below. If a leak is caused by broken tubing, the broken tubing must be replaced.
d. The tubing and monitor cup replacement and cleaning procedures are detailed in Section 5.2
Component Replacement below.
5.1.2 Preventive Maintenance
5.1.2.1 Post-use
1. Discard all vessel line tubing (tubing from manifold to reactor) after each run.
2. Clean the FISP membranes using the instructions in the FISP Sampling Probe User Guide after each run.
5.1.2.2 Every Month or 600 hours
1. Clean or replace the waste and reagent bottles every 30 days or 600 hours, whichever occurs first, to reduce
contamination risk.
5.1.2.3 Every Three Months or Four Runs
1. The 2900 Series monitor cup requires minimal maintenance if antiseptic cycles are employed after each sampling.
However, it is recommended to remove and thoroughly clean the monitor cup every three months or four runs,
whichever occurs first. See Section 5.3.2.2 Monitor Sample Cup, for the monitor cup cleaning procedure.
2. Replace the pump tubing, antiseptic and rinse tubing, waste tubing, and tubing connected to the monitor sample
cup every three months or every four runs, whichever occurs first.
Turn off the Multi-Channel Online Monitor if system will not be used for more than 2 weeks.
5.2 Component Replacement
The items listed in this section should be replaced according the Preventive Maintenance schedule in Section 5.1 Routine
Maintenance above.
5.2.1 Pump Tubing
1. Release the tension from the pump head by rotating the grey handle counterclockwise as shown below.
