5.3.2.1 Waste and Reagent Bottles
It is recommended to periodically replace the waste and reagent bottles. However, the bottles may be cleaned and reused
at the user’s discretion.
1. Remove the cap assembly from the bottle.
2. Discard the bottle contents into an approved collection container.
3. Disinfect the bottle with 70% ETOH or 70% IPA solution.
4. Rinse the bottle with DI water at least 3 times to ensure cleaning solution is removed.
5. Allow the bottle to air dry before use.
6. Refill bottle with desired reagent. Skip this step for the waste bottle.
7. Recap the bottle with the cap assembly.
5.3.2.2 Monitor Sample Cup
1. Disconnect the sample and waste lines from the Monitor Cup
2. Remove the Monitor Cup.
3. Flush the Monitor Cup with 3% Mucasol, 70% ethanol or 70% IPA using a pre-filled syringe of cleaning agent.
Ensure cleaning solution is flushed through both connectors. Repeat procedure 2-3 times.
4. Rinse the Monitor Cup with DI water. Allow it to air dry before use.
5. Reinstall the Monitor Cup.
6. Reconnect the sample and waste lines.
5.3.3 FISP Probe and Membrane
Clean the FISP sampling probes and membranes according to the procedures provided in the FISP Sampling Probe User
Guide, Maintenance Section.
5.3.4 Touchscreen Monitor
Periodically clean the touchscreen monitor by wiping gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
