2. Stop all sampling functions. This can be done by selecting the Stop button in the Home icon. The Multi-
Channel Online Monitor can be updated when all vessel tiles are blue.
3. Select the Update icon.

4. A message will appear in the Update window directing the user to insert the USB drive.
5. Insert the USB drive into the USB port located on the right side of the Multi-Channel Online Monitor
touchscreen. Allow a few seconds for the system to acknowledge the USB drive.
6. Once the USB and file are recognized, choose the Update button. The installation can take up to 5 minutes or
more. When the update is completed, a message will be displayed stating “Your system has been updated.”
7. After the system update, click the Unmount Flash Drive button and remove the USB drive.
4.11 Creating, Restoring and Removing Backup Files
Backing up the Multi-Channel Online Monitor System files allows the user to save the most current system settings. The
backed-up files can be retrieved at a later time to restore or revert to previous software versions or settings.
4.11.1 Creating a Backup File
1. Select the Update icon.
If the Multi-Channel Online Monitor System is actively sampling, it will be unable to create, restore
or remove a backup.
