7.3.1 Firewall Rules Configuration
In the Firewall Rules screen, click Add or click a rule’s Edit button to display this screen and refer
to the following table for information on the labels.

Active This field displays whether a firewall rule is turned on or not. Select the check box to enable
the rule. Clear the check box to disable the rule.
Name This displays the name of the rule.
Interface This displays the LAN or WAN interface(s) to which this rule is applied.
Filter Criteria This displays the filtering criteria, such as the source or destination IP addresses and subnet
mask to which this rule applies.
Action This displays whether the firewall silently discards packets (Drop), discards packets and
sends an ICMP message to the sender (Reject) or allows the passage of packets (Permit).
Remove Select entries and click the Remove button to delete them.
Edit Click the Edit button to go to the screen where you can edit the rule.
Add Click Add to create a new rule.
Apply Click Apply to save your changes back to the VDSL Router.
