USER MAINTENANCE
Described here are the servicing and preventive maintenance procedures that are required in the day to day operation of
the ProX DMP 300 printer. The following safety rules are applicable for all procedures.
Caution : the machine is not allowed to run a job during a maintenance.
Caution : perform only tasks you are authorized and certied to complete.
Caution : presence of metal powder. Do not use or manipulate any material without rst reading the
safety datasheet (SDS) for that specic material.
Caution : Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be used to protect the user against health or
safety risks during working tasks. Wear disposable rubber gloves, anti-static coverall, anti-static safety
shoes and safety glass. Wear disposable dust mask rated FFP3 or N99 level protection at minimum ; we
recommend the use of powered air-purifying respirator.
WARNING : FINE METAL DUST IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE. AVOID USING ANY IGNITION SOURCE NEAR THE
MACHINE (OPEN FLAME, SPARKING, ELEVATED TEMPERATURE PARTS).

Recycling lter and vacuum lter replacement
These lters must be changed once a month.
Part:
• Filter element (part number : 1002235T00)
Procedure :
1. Make sure the recycling and the vacuum cleaner are not running.
2. For the recycling lter, open the left side acess door. For the vacumm lter, open the right side acess door.
When the side door is opened, the status of the interlock prevents the printer to operate during the
maintenance (see "DMP System Response if an Interlock Fails" on page 9).
4. Open the access door.
5. Loosen the lter and remove it from the module. Make sure to fully loosen the locking system to avoid any damage on
the seal during the lter removal.
6. Dispose of lter in accordance with all local/national, state and federal regulations.
WARNING : FLAMMABLE POWDERS.
PLACE THE USED FILTER IN A CLOSED METALLIC CONTAINER IN A ROOM WITH FIRE DETECTION.
7. Insert the new clean lter without rotating it, making sure it is correctly positioned, centered in the slot and tightened.
8. Close the access door.
9. Reset the corresponding timer : see section "Machine Status menu" on page 50 for details.
